Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of the BRS 001 hybrid coconut on the production of rural producers in the state of Ceará. For this, the Entropy Balancing method was used, widely used in impact assessment studies. The results of the pairing demonstrated that the choice of the analyzed producers to plant the dwarf variety added 32,463 fruits per hectare/year. On the other hand, it was found that the BRS 001 hybrid coconut increased the producer’s income by R$ 2,543.30 per hectare, due to the price charged by the market in 2022.
